Recreational Basketball

Rec basketball is a great option for players of all skill levels. We strive to teach the fundamentals of the game while at the same time fostering what we hope is a life-long passion for the sport of basketball.

DAYBA offers recreational basketball for boys and girls in grades 5-8.   We are partnering with the Salvation Army Rookie Basketball Association which offers recreational leagues for grades K-4.

Note: Registration is closed.

Rec League updates can also be found on our Facebook page.

A few things:

1) Registration fees are $80 ($20 late registration fee after 11/2). Please follow directions online when paying by check. Check or money order (no cash please) made payable to DAYBA and mailed to our office:
310 N 1st Ave W. #109
Duluth MN 55806

PLEASE PAY YOUR FEES! We do not offer scholarships, but will turn no child away! Contact our Rec League Coordinator with questions.

2) Games have begun and will run through March!

3) We will again be partnering with the Superior Basketball Association (SBA) and send our 5/6 grade girls teams and our 7/8 grade boys and girls teams over to play in their house league. We have had a great partnership with the SBA and have participated in their Rec League the past six years. Their schedule is almost identical to ours. Games will be played Saturdays at Superior Middle School. We do this because we have had low participation numbers for these levels which does not allow us to form enough teams to have our own "in-house" rec league. This allows us to continue to offer rec basketball for these levels!

4) 5/6 grade boys will play Saturday mornings at Duluth Denfeld.

Each of our coaches will be subjected to a background check.
